INDEPENDENCE DAY

Friday, July 4 (Noon-4pm)

Join us for an afternoon at Cobblestone Farm to celebrate the July 4th holiday! It's a family friendly event that highlights the 19th century farmhouse and grounds as we commemorate the day with food, fun AND a recitation of the Declaration of Independence by local historian, James Mann. Take a tour of the museum with demonstrations throughout the farmhouse and grounds including cooking on the wood stove, loom weaving. Activities include a fashion show of women's dresses throughout the decades of the 1800's, historic outdoor games, storytelling as well as Irish music. Enjoy an outdoor picnic! Either bring lunch and treats or purchase from area food trucks. Last, but not least, visit the goats in the barnyard. We hope to see you at the farmhouse - rain or shine!

Free admission. Donations are always appreciated to support the museum.

The farmhouse museum is also OPEN on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 1-3pm.

Enjoy docent-led tours and find ways to help encourage the love of history. Learn for the past to improve the future.

Our annual events include:

  • Spring Fling
  • Independence Day
  • Hallow Harvest
  • Country Christmas
